Tennis Court Update
All tennis courts at Boyd and Carroll parks are open for play. After the
contractor finished their resurfacing job, staff painted the light poles,
replaced light bulbs, cleaned light lens, straightened and painted the net
poles, installed new court nets, installed new signage specifying court use,
moved irrigation heads five feet away from the courts, and installed a five
foot crusher fine border around the courts.
Each court has received a sponge roller to push water off the court
surfaces for faster drying. A new
practice backboard is on order and will be installed at Carroll. In order to
keep the playing surfaces in the best condition as long as possible, the
Alamosa Police Department will be keeping an extra eye out for bikes,
skateboards, and roller skates being used on the courts.
