Rio Frio Mountain Bike Ride

Rio Frio Mountain Bike Ride

10 AM Sunday, January 30th, 2022 @ Blanca Vista Park

Let's face it, it's hard to stay active and get outside in the middle of the winter in Alamosa. However, there's no better way to kick the cabin fever than to brave the cold and do some physical activity. This year, in conjunction with the Rio Frio Ice Fest, we are hosting a winter bike ride. We will groom the snow on some Alamosa trails and do a group ride. The route will depend on the conditions of trails and what we are able to groom but expect a roughly 6-mile / 45-minute ride around the City Ranch. Hot chocolate to follow. The wider the tire on your mountain bike the better for winter conditions but a fat bike isn't necessary. The ride will start and end at the Blanca Vista Park parking lot. This event is FREE and open to all ages.

Singletrack grooming equipment will be used to pack down the trails.
